In the Olinda Priory

We are only eight German Sisters, all over 80. For the time being, we have three young women in the Novitiate. We have seven young women in temporary vows. Three of them are in the preparation for final profession. Although they have an introduction to Religious Life, they have worked in all different projects, after final profession, they can take over responsible positions that will strengthen our priory. Along with our three sisters preparing for final profession, we also have a sister from Argentina who is preparing for final profession. Our congregation has two small communities in the homeland of our Pope. In one of these, our Sister Gloria has been doing ministry for some years.

Sr. Alzirene returned after seven years as a catechist in Angola. She will replace Sr. Raimunda as the directress of the social center in Casa Caiada. At the moment, she is being introduced by Sr. Raimunda into her new field of work. Sr. Raimunda will take over a new task in Rome shortly where our international community has a guesthouse for pilgrims and guests. In our international missionary Congregation, everybody has to be ready to mission work outside of their home country.
